Netflix is present only on the WDTV Live (2011) and edit: not the WDTV Live Hub yet. The WDTV Live Plus model was basically the Netflix enabled version of the first gen WDTV Live (what you have) but it was not sold in the UK/IE, so if planning on getting a WDTV Live for Netflix you need the newest model (netflix will be available once you update the firmware). The original WDTV live smp had a chip that allowed netflix to play and still does. The newer iteration didn't have the chip so doesn't play netflix. I'm guessing you've got the newer one. Getflix supports setting a custom region for your WD TV Live device. Under the " Regions " section of your Getflix account, you can change the location of your WD TV Live. delaveganz May 27, 2016, 1:44am #4 As hinted, WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (Gen 3) is the version with Netflix support. The current WDTV Media Player product hardware is practically identical (just no LIVE on the front panel) but software is different - Netflix is one of the features removed.
